So I really wanted to finish off my character turnaround sheet to add a cloak to the character. While I was there I decided to revamp my character inspired by the styles that influenced their creation.

Two films influenced the art style I went with; Turning Red by Pixar Studios and Wolfwalkers by Cartoon Saloon. To be honest, the character is very Cartoon Saloon-esque as Puca is based in Gaelic mythology. The sharp lines of their cloak not only made the turnaround easier, but also evokes the sharp lines. Turning Red was helpful in terms of anthropomorphising the character- how to draw a small mammal face from different angles. The character sheets of Mei as a Red Panda was really helpful. I own the art books of these two films so could reference them easily while I drew.
